Anyone who’s been reading the Graduation Music site throughout the last year will most certainly recognize theworldbirdie’s name. The Barnstable-native has compiled a bright discography that gracefully captures the relaxed feeling of the Cape. Working alongside his good friend, Pope, theworldbirdie adds “Footup” to his arsenal of music, a highly-listenable release that marks a solid beginning to the artist’s 2019.
After Isaac Dunbar, theworldbirdie is the only other artist from Barnstable that I’m familiar with, however both I’d consider to be some of my favorites in Massachusetts. theworldbirdie released an exceptional project this past summer titled ARTx, and since then has been working tirelessly to gift fans with transcendent music that’s full of replay value.
“Footup” is the second time that theworldbirdie has recruited Pope to be featured on one of his tracks, and both times the pair have concocted an addictive, dreamy song that wraps itself around the mind of the listener. Bridge Vision helped bring the video for “Footup” to life, and it does a great job at lifting the levels of fun and relaxation that are present within this song. An overall captivating release, both theworldbirdie and Pope should be extremely proud of the work they’ve put in.
As a fan of authentic art, nothing is more rewarding to hear than an artist simply letting their heart ring forth on a song. This is the case with theworldbirdie’s latest offering, “Like Michael Did w Jan”. While the title may be humorous and the simile at hand is certainly one to smile at, this track provides just north of two minutes of undiluted emotion that you can’t help but appreciate. Theworldbirdie lets loose and finds strength in vulnerability, offering gentle cadences and true-to-self lyrics that hold the ability to resonate with a wide base of listeners.
Over a bed of gorgeous acoustic production from Awful Aaron, this song keeps it as real as can be, and personally, I can’t get enough of it. We’ve been covering theworldbirdie for quite some time now, and with each new release, he’s only continue to prove himself as a more-than-deserving subject of so many Graduation Music headlines. “Like Michael Did w Jan” is one of those songs that only comes around once in a while, so be sure to show some love and check it out at the link below!
Fresh off of the release of his debut album, ARTx, theworldbirdie and Alexander Hagani are here today to reunite and provide fans with the brand new video for “Good Time”. The vibrant visuals circulate around the theme of summer romance, and perfectly suit the soothing, warm feel that is present throughout this track. Following the release of this video, it’s apparent that the Cape-native is yet another artist from Massachusetts that’s on his way to becoming one of our area’s most notable talents.
This video showcases the beauty of finding love during the summer, yet at the same time how it all eventually comes to an end as the fall rushes in. Capturing the essence of this song perfectly, there’s no arguing that theworldbirdie has once again added a solid piece of work to his catalog of releases. No matter the subject matter, he’s extremely talented in the area of breaking down his life experiences and coming up with delightful methods of expressing them.
The last time Alex Hagani and theworldbirdie joined forces was on the video for “ARTx (Intro)”, which, similarly to this release, was exceptional. The pair have an innate ability to work well with one another, which becomes overwhelmingly apparent as they continue to collaborate. All we can hope is that they’ll team up again in the future to make some more magic happen.

TheWorldBirdie is one of the newer artists to make his debut on Graduation Music, but nevertheless, back by a strong work ethic and consistent levels of both quality and output, you will certainly be seeing his name in headlines in the future. Today, we take a step back a few weeks and touch on TheWorldBirdie’s latest offering — a mixtape entitled ARTx. After we first wrote about his music with the music video for the tape’s intro, listeners rapidly became anticipated for the full entree, and finally, it has arrived.
11 tracks long, this collection of sounds brings us to see the full scope of what TheWorldBirdie is capable of doing. He remains ambitious in his stylistic ventures while staying grounded in the talent that brought him to where he is today, and by maintaining a balance of both, he gracefully exhibits artistic growth to an emphatic degree. Additionally, just to top things off, we here some standout features from names including Lil Hannah, Just Dons, Pope, Ali G, John Murphy, Lil Dennis, Marc G, Greg G, and last but not least, Dad. Making his debut onto the Graduation Music site today is an artist going by the name theworldbirdie with the video for his latest single, “ARTx Intro”. Directed by former UMass Amherst student, Alexander Hagani, the pair joined forces to deliver us some exceptional visuals, which grasp both the meaning and the overarching feeling of the song tremendously well.
This music video was actually my very first taste of theworldbirdie’s music, and I’m thrilled to say that the Cape-native is yet another addition to the mixing pot of talented artists from Massachusetts. “ARTx Intro” has this sort of meditative, shimmering touch that has its roots set in theworldbirdie’s criss-crossing thoughts. He opens up about how his self-confidence flutters from left to right, how his past shapes his future, and how he’s on a seemingly never-ending journey towards solace. All of this is delivered over a smooth, melodic instrumental that’s perfect for this beautiful time of year. I’m only one song in, but theworldbirdie’s artistry is truly shining through with “ARTx Intro”.
I can’t commend Alex Hagani enough for his role in bringing theworldbirdie’s vision to life. The extremely talented pair aren’t finished here either, with another music video AND a 3-part interview series set to come out during the coming weeks. I’m ecstatic to see what their next move is going to be, as theworldbirdie is on a mission to prove to the world that he’s got what it takes to blossom as an artist.
