Yung Lano returns to the Graduation Music site today with the release of the official video for “Cat In The Hat”. This Stoop Kid-produced track was featured on his 2017 project titled Revenue, which was hosted by none other than Boston’s SuperSmashBroz.
The video is pieced-together wonderfully, helping to bring a truly refreshing feeling to this release. Yung Lano hails from Hyde Park, and his consistently on-point, well-calculated delivery is something that’ll surely assist him in gaining notoriety throughout the blossoming Boston music scene. Make sure to keep Yung Lano on your radar in 2019.

Aside from being BMA-nominated best DJs in the state, the SuperSmashBroz are also Boston’s finest facilitators. Look at their summer 2017 project, Family Cookout, for example, in which they connected over 30 Massachusetts-based artists to promote the local music scene and bring to fruition various highly-anticipated collaborations. More recently, take a look at their last project – Code Name: Girls Next Door – in which they saw the talents in Gin Mason and CHI and decided to bring them together for an EP. As you can see, the SmashBroz are constantly connecting the dots, and today, they do so yet again with a new single entitled “Max Out”.
Joining together Caliph, Reem Skully, and Austin Fair all over a backbone of SuperSmashBroz and Humbeats production, this song is yet another example of why the brotherly DJ duo is so important for Massachusetts. In getting these 3 incredible rappers together, they bless us with a mesmerizing display of lyrical prowess and addictive rhythms. Each of these artists, one after another, establish a solid degree of chemistry with the others while also showcasing their own individual talents, and all in all, “Max Out” is just the right song to keep all of our vibes right as the summer winds down to its end.
In the words of the SmashBroz, this is “just a lil somethin’ to get your vibes right“, so make sure you give it a listen at the link provided below:
Whenever the weather gets warmer and the season officially transitions over to summertime, the SuperSmashBroz are always just about ready to apply their full-court pressure and take over Boston. This year, after grabbing the spotlight with the spectacular project, Codename: Girls Next Door, the brotherly DJ duo is here to revisit 2017s Family Cookout mixtape with a brand new set of visuals for “Replay Interlude” — a fan favorite and also a personal favorite of mine.
The main attractor for the song has always been Replay’s undeniably effortless sauce, and to see him show these skills on the big screen in front of numerous women shows off the charismatic, laid-back personality that he possesses perfectly. Sure, the “Replay Interlude” itself is an extremely hard-hitting song, but once we’re taken into the world of Replay, it becomes an entirely different conversation. The Boston native is, without a doubt on his way towards stardom, and with the SmashBroz helping to propel his wave, there’s no chance that Replay’s stocks aren’t rapidly rising this year.
That being said, click play on the flex-filled nature of the “Replay Interlude” video at the link below:

Last summer, the SuperSmashBroz blessed the world with a magnificent, Massachusetts-bred compilation mixtape, Family Cookout. This summer, further ensuring that Boston has its vibes right, the SmashBroz are back once again to bring new talent to the spotlight in the form of Codename: Girls Next Door — a highly-anticipated collabroative effort from none other than Gin Mason and CHI. After receiving the first single from the project, “Girls Night“, just a few weeks back, I had a hunch that this project would be something special, but quite honestly, it exceeded any expectations I could have set for such a highly-talented duo.
Not only do Mason and CHI show us their most refined artistic selves on the final product for this one, but they also bring an entirely new wave of addictive energy to the table — just what we needed to end this summer on a bright note. Alongside only one feature from Michael Christmas and production credits from LDG, Maka, Tee-WaTT, the SuperSmashBroz, and KorHef, the cohesive sound and endless supply of infectious rhythms provide for 6 tracks of transportive music at the core of the project. That being said, Gin Mason and CHI are two of Massachusetts’ most talented rising talents, and it’s both a pleasure and privilege to watch them continue on their rises to the top.

No one is better at connecting the dots than Boston-based DJ duo, the SuperSmashBroz, and today, they’re here to link up some of the most promising talents in the city with their latest single, “Girls Night”. The result is an anthemic offering that demands to be kept on repeat all summer long, so be sure to stay tuned in as we unpack this one a bit further.
Produced by the SuperSmashBroz and KorHef, “Girls Night” finds its identity within the exuberant energy of dance-worthy rhythms. The vocals seemingly float right over this infectious sonic atmosphere, making room for each of the three featured artists on this one to exhibit their undeniably smooth lyrics. With this, “Girls Night” is the perfect soundtrack to any upcoming functions you may have this summer — be sure to keep it playing on full volume as you enjoy the sun-soaked weather.

Pertaining to the Massachusetts music community, one of 2017’s standout events was when the SuperSmashBroz blessed us all with their compilation mixtape, Family Cookout. Featuring music from an abundance of talents from the area as well as a number of highly-anticipated collaborations, this tape showed us all just how “for the city” the brotherly DJ duo really is, as they continue to represent their city in the best light possible. Today, they revisit this family affair with a set of comprehensive visuals for one of the standout tracks from the project, “U Thought” featuring frequent collaborators and fellow dynamic duo, Polo $ummers and Gio Dee.
Produced by Lil Rich and Dreaveli, the song itself kicks off the energy on an electrifying note, giving fans ample reason to put their faith behind the Boston-born collaboration and even more reason to keep “U Thought” on repeat all summer long. The visuals put this warm-weathered, ambitious feeling on a pedestal, taking to barbershop scenery to show the fans a familiar background where $ummers and Dee can show off their signature, charismatic flows in an environment that fits the sonic background of the song. “U Thought” is the first step into what will undoubtedly be a huge summer for the SuperSmashBroz, so be sure not to sleep.
It comes as no secret by now that Boston-based DJ duo, the SuperSmashBroz, are capable of getting the vibes right in any function. Having said that, their unique ability to not only recognize the energy at a given show or event, but also adjust to this feeling and perform with such calculated precision is quite simply unrivaled. Today, the SmashBroz showcase this very skill and return to Graduation Music yet again with the release of their latest mix, “AfroVibes Volume 3”.
As always, this collection of hits channels a very specific mood, and with a brilliant supply of infectious, dance-based songs to lead the way, the mix establishes itself as another fantastic release from the city’s favorite brotherly duo. Get your afro vibes right and listen to the latest from the SuperSmashBroz at the link below!
Taking into account their electric performance skills and standout releases as dot-connectors within Boston, it goes without saying that the SuperSmashBroz are known in their hometown as the premier DJ duo for getting your vibes right. With yesterday being Valentine’s Day, the SmashBroz were sure to bless the city with an anthem to fit the occasion, offering fans a new track titled “Cuff Up” featuring fellow local acts Maka and Gin Mason.
This track finds itself diving through tropical energy in order to supply the perfect sound for cuffing season, and considering the standout deliveries that both Maka and Mason came through with on this one, “Cuff Up” is able to establish itself as a standout single. Seamless as ever, the SmashBroz connected the dots once again, this time gifting us with a collaboration between two promising artists that were able to form a wonderful chemistry. With that being said, be sure to show some love to a few of Boston’s top runners by giving the latest from the SmashBroz and company below.
At this point, it goes without saying that Vintage Lee is one of Roxbury’s most promising young stars. Between the widespread success of her debut mixtape, P.I.M.P., her single “Hennythings Possible” landing a spot on the NBA 2K18 soundtrack, and the numerous noteworthy singles that have continued to fuel her wave throughout the past few months, Lee cannot miss right now. Her hometown has embraced this talent with open arms, and today, she’s back on our pages with the announcement of her debut headlining show, “Pimp Paradise”.
Set for February 8th at the Middle East Upstairs, this show will feature additional performances from Valley and HighKeyRandom with the SuperSmashBroz and Fleeaveli on the ones and twos. This is a huge moment not only for Lee’s career but also for Roxbury, as it shows the fact that the city’s local scene refuses to be ignored right now. Venues in Boston may not quite see the vision yet, but when this show sells out, it will be sure to help to open their eyes in investing in local talents and the local fanbase.
And trust me, with the direction that she’s headed, in a year you’ll be wondering how you ever got the chance to see Vintage Lee for only $10. Be sure not to miss this hometown hero’s headlining show and peep the flyer below.
Looking back, 2017 was a year of immense growth for New England and specifically Massachusetts’ budding music scene. We were fortunate enough to see the rise of many new talents as well as watch some of the more established artists prosper in their own ways, and frankly, it was inspiring to us to see the work that the artists, the producers, the photographers, the graphic designers, the mixers, the managers, etc. have been putting in. Without all of these people playing their respective roles, our scene wouldn’t be where it is today.
Having said that, we here at Graduation Music collaborated with Fresh Out The Mint to compile a list of the “Top 50 New England Songs of 2017” (in our humble opinion). Below is the playlist of all the tracks – enjoy!
Thank you sincerely to everyone for supporting us throughout 2017 and making our first full year as a blog a successful one. We greatly appreciate all the love and can’t wait to show you what we have in store for 2018.

Fresh off of an incredible set at Cousin Stizz’s homecoming House of Blues show, Roxbury DJ duo, the SuperSmashBroz, are back on our pages today with their sixth volume of the ever-popular Get Your Vibes Right mix series.
Proving time and time again that their intoxicating energy can effortlessly shut down any venue, this mix’s unique selection of hits not only from national stars, but also from some of Boston’s most promising talents, sets forward an energetic image of the success that the SuperSmashBroz have seen as of late. Their stocks are rising, and the music they chose for the mix definitely reflects this ambitious, exciting energy in a way that any listener can resonate with.
Additionally, starting just after the 19-minute mark, the Smashbroz threw in a complementary, Meltycanon-produced Michael Christmas exclusive potentially coming off of the Boston rapper’s forthcoming album. Bubbling with positive energy over the sparkling production, this track looks to its carefree vibe to effectively create an entirely new atmosphere of uplifting moods, setting the tone for what seems to be shaping up to be quite a project from Christmas.
I’ll defintiely be keeping this mix on the shortlist when in need of music for any upcoming functions, and I highly recommend you do the same. Get Your Vibes Right mixes have almost become staples of the music culture here in Boston, so don’t sleep on the sixth volume – click play below.
This past summer, the SuperSmashBroz supplied Boston with a number of dream team collaborations on their debut tape Family Cookout. One of these collaborations was found in the song “Grab It”, joining the unique forces of Plad Fine$$e, Lil Rich, and Chi to make for an in-your-face track that I’ve had on repeat since it dropped.
Today, the energy-filled DJ duo is here to revisit “Grab It” with ominous visuals directed and shot by BT Livin. Within dark scenes of robbery and tension, the music video explores the street life that each artist so well illustrates in their respective verses. Not only did we receive a gem in this song in the first place, but now the world has well-fitting visuals to go right alongside it. Watch “Grab It” below:
