Banding together to form one of the most exciting, creative groups out of Boston in recent memory, NSFW is dead set on making their presence known as artists. The wide scope of talents and ideas that they bring to the table is unlike any other, and consequently, these rising talents are on a fast track to great notoriety with their infectious wave of ingenuity. Today, we see these attributes on full display with the group’s latest release — a brand new single entitled “NSFW In Order”.
Featuring RAMS, Donald Grunge, and Fat P, this offering acts as a loud proclamation of prowess from the group. They use a thunderous, slightly chaotic background of production courtesy of Maka in order to fully communicate this shared, galvanizing energy, and in doing so, “NSFW In Order” comes across as an absolute banger. It builds walls just to break them down, demonstrates immense power, and most impactfully, does so in a charismatic fashion that any listener can latch onto. NSFW is ready to take the top, so be sure to keep an eye out for them in the future and listen to their latest single at the link below!

Looking back at the release of the Another Island EP (which, by the way, is one year old on August 31st), it truly goes without saying that Maka and Durkin possess a level of chemistry that can’t be imitated by just any two artists. They fuel one another with galvanizing energy and complementary styles, so much so that every song the duo releases feels effortless in every sense of the word. That being said, the two Massachusetts front-runners are taking the spotlights once again today to unveil their newest single, “Malie”.
Released via Fool’s Gold Records, this track finds itself weaving in and out of two different languages, all the while bringing forth an addictive supply of dance-worthy rhythms. Maka seemingly floats over the beat in both English and Tongan, and Durkin’s refreshing production reminds us of days at the beach in the dead of summer, with nothing on our minds. Needless to say, “Malie” paints a beautiful picture. And as if a stellar new single wasn’t enough, this track also arrives alongside the announcement of Maka and Durkin’s forthcoming Waterproof EP, due for release on September 12th. Prepare yourself for yet another incredible project and in the meantime, bump “Malie” as frequently as possible at the link below:

Just a few weeks back, marking a highly-anticipated joining of forces and a collaboration that certainly didn’t disappoint, we heard the chemistry of Pe$o Boii and Maka together on their repeat-worthy offering, “Freak Nique”. Today, unleashing yet another track as a duo, we hear the two link to create a hustler-minded new single, “Whole Lotta”. And let me just say — we may be starting to come towards the end of the summer, but if there’s one song that is going to keep the sun-soaked energy alive, it’s this one.
Set to the tune of a rapidly-paced background instrumental, “Whole Lotta” is exactly what you would expect for a hustler’s anthem plus a little more. Pe$o Boii keeps on pace with the beat while unleashing a barrage of money-minded, ambitious bars, and in such a way, there doesn’t exist a point where the track starts to lose its exuberance. Naturally so, Pe$o Boii and Maka put together an incredibly enjoyable listen, so be sure not to sleep on the complementary roles that they have shown to play alongside one another.

Donald Grunge and Maka: two artists who have earned their statuses as front-runners in Massachusetts rap due to ample supplies of high-quality music and even more importantly, undying consistency. There exists a certain art to being authentic and never compromising one’s personality, and both Grunge and Maka seem to have it down to a science. That being said, in a collaboration that I didn’t see coming but am more than willing to embrace, this highly-talented duo is here to bless the world with a new single entitled “Guitar Grunge”.
The last time we heard this joining of forces was on the summer-minded offering, “Shade“. Both artists have seen immense growth since the release of their last collaborative effort, and “Guitar Grunge” shows just how much they have been able to hone in on their skills in the meantime. Fans hear energetic, almost sporadic displays of pure bliss and passion from Grunge, only to be complemented by the gorgeous, sun-soaked instrumental from Maka, as the two work off of one another’s skills with an unrivaled chemistry. Adding fuel to the fire, a hard-hitting drum pattern reinforces the bubbling melodies, and all in all, we receive a candidate for song of the summer from the two Graduation Music favorites.

Pableezy, whom you may know by his previous name, Pe$o Boii, is an undeniable star in the making. We have been covering his music on Graduation Music for quite some time now, and with every new release, the Dorchester native has become increasingly in tune with his strengths and weaknesses. That being said, Pableezy is making some serious strides towards the top, and today, he’s here to show us how his changed attitude is following the same path with “Freak Nique”.
Produced by the hitmaker himself, Maka, this wavy offering shows fans the process and effect of a glo up. Now that Pableezy has made it somewhere, he looks back on the arduous path of success and becoming a boss that he needed to embark on with a thankful tone, ready for more. Life is getting better, the music is following right alongside, and in every aspect, the stocks are rising for this young talent.

Maka is the kind of artist that always comes to the spotlight just when you need him most. His consistent supply of music never fails to keep us here at Graduation Music entertained, and right when we feel as if we need new Maka in our lives, there he is, ready to deliver. That being said, we are here to welcome the Cambridge native onto our pages today with his brand new single, “WaveRunners”. Simply put, the weather is warm, the sun is shining, and this song the cherry on top to the wonderful energy that the summer evokes.
Self-produced, “WaveRunners” speaks to the sonic atmosphere that Maka’s music seems to thrive in. Light melodies, graced with ambitious drum patterns and a playful mood to match, always complement his voice in the best way possible, and when this rising star is able to achieve this, there’s really no stopping him. Maka’s latest single lets the sun-soaked energy of his artistry grace the microphone both effortlessly and infectiously, and in such a way, we have received yet another banger to add to his long line of incredible music. And for that, especially in the summertime, we need to be grateful.

If you’ve been tapped into the Boston music community in recent months, the group name “NSFW” has undoubtedly surfaced right in front of your eyes at least once or twice. Encapsulating a number of unbelievable talents from the area such as Rams, Donald Gunge, Cave, and Maka, this collective of rising artists holds the firepower to do some serious damage, just as shown in their debut single as a group, “Sandman”, which came out just yesterday. Sometimes putting all your chips into one bet isn’t the best idea, but when you throw these all-stars on one track together, it most certainly is a fantastic idea, equipped with a seamless chemistry that already shows through in their first offering.
That being said, “Sandman” immediately forms its identity by way of key-led production courtesy of Maka, only to clash against electrifying verses from Rams, Grunge, and Cave to follow. Each artist follows right after the last, not just adding to the excitement but also bringing it to the next level, and in this way, I believe that “Sandman” is an early indication of the heat that NSFW, or NOTSAFE FORWORK, has on the way for us. I’ve been a fan of the individual talents contained within the group for quite some time in their solo careers, so seeing them come together feels like a full circle moment that nobody will be forgetting about anytime soon.
Listen to “Sandman” below and experience that sky-high potential that NSFW is bringing to the table.

In the realm of garnering energy, Maka is an artist that, quite frankly, goes unrivaled. I don’t know if I’ve ever heard many artists that can create such a strong mood with their music, and by sticking to his guns and understanding the impact of the season on what he releases, Maka has been able to curate a strong wave, incomparable to any others like it. Here enters his new, “S/S 2018” campaign. We have been receiving new music to soundtrack the spring throughout the past few weeks from the local talent, and today, he’s here to keep the streak going with yet another wavy offering titled “Raincloud” featuring Fat P.
In essence, this track picks up right where the last few have left off. It sounds just like the burgeoning warm weather, playing to the function of a song that will lead us out of the winter months and into the tropical, infectious energy of the summer. Joining forces with Fat P, this track also breathes new life in the chemistry that the two exhibit. As artists, they work perfectly alongside one another, and both P and Maka killed their respective parts on this one without a doubt. In all honesty, I could go on and on about the wave that Maka is running right now, but I’ll let you experience it for yourself.

If there’s anyone coming correct this Spring, it’s the man himself, Maka. Following the release of “Look At U” featuring iWearDadJeans, Maka has unleashed yet another majestic record that will help you shake off that last bit of winter and transcend into the warmer months with ease.
“Kool” is an energetic, lively offering which will get you off your feet and dancing no matter where you’re at. The self-produced song samples Kool & The Gang’s hit record “Get Down On It”, which assists Maka in obtaining the joyous feeling from beginning to end.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Maka somehow found the perfect equation for making music that’s meant to be played on gorgeous, sunny days, and throughout his catalog, he has proven to master this sound to an emphatic extent. With this aspect on lock, it’s also worth mentioning that Maka’s discography basically became the soundtrack for my recent trip to San Juan, helping make a wonderful time that much better. It’s like you can almost feel the endorphins rushing towards your brain every time Maka whips up a new masterpiece, and “Kool” is no different.
Continuing a noteworthy 2018 with the release of “Kool”, Maka makes another tremendous stride towards cementing his spot amongst Boston’s current best artists. Stream the vibrant track below:

RAMS. You may know him for his unrivaled skills as a director, you may know him for his deep catalog of standout visuals and songs, you may know him for his fashion ventures, or maybe you know him from something else. Regardless, I think we can all agree on one thing: RAMS is very, very talented no matter what he decides to get into. Today, the former Boston native reminds us of his polished artistry with a new offering entitled “All of Dem!”.
Directed by Pinkslip and produced by Maka, this song and video go hand in hand as a combined, revealing look into the unique mind of RAMS. You truly can’t tell where he’s going to go next, but you always know it’s going to be next level, and “All of Dem!” follows this format with immense loyalty. The hand imagery seemingly reveals RAMS in the context of such an intriguing listen, and all in all, every element of this release mesh to form a video/song that I will definitely be revisiting quite often in the future.
But don’t just take my word for it, watch the visuals for “All Of Dem!” below:

Anyone paying attention to Boston rap right now has most likely heard or seen the name “Seuss” one place or another, but if you haven’t heard of him, just know that Seuss is one of the most promising young acts that the city has right now. His seemingly endless bursts of energy have translated seamlessly into some standout singles in the past, and today the Boston native is here to keep the streak going with a new track titled “Water Is Forever”. And trust me, you don’t want to sleep on this one.
Produced by none other than Maka, “Water Is Forever” is a highly-anticipated collaboration on the surface level. Both Seuss and Maka have always been known as two names to watch out for in the city, so hearing them side by side is a treat in and of itself. Aside from this, however, fans are blessed with Seuss’ “hydrated” lyricism bar after bar in this track, kicking things off on a high note with the ever-important line, “I pledge allegiance to the mothef**kin bag“. Overall, “Water Is Forever” is a dope release from start to finish, and if there was still any question as to whether or not Seuss and Maka are two of Boston’s most exciting artists, this track should settle it.

It’s officially Spring, and what better way to bring in the new season than with some new waves from Maka. Today, the Boston native – or should I say hitmaker? – is here to gift the world with a new single titled “Look At U” featuring a guest appearance from iWearDadJeans on guitar and vocals. And as you may have expected, this power duo has successfully delivered an addictive offering that will undoubtedly help to instill the beauty of Spring into us all.
That being said, I honestly can’t rave enough about Maka’s music. Time and time again, he delivers exceptional pieces of work, and the energy that comes with these masterpieces is, in many ways, unmatched. If you’re someone who believes in the statement, “music is about feeling”, then look no further than this man right here. Taking inspiration from musical elements in genres across the world, it’s extremely fun diving on into a Maka record for the first time, as you truly have to be prepared for anything coming your way. One thing remains constant, though: Maka will bring the vibe with him no matter what beat or style he decides to bless.
