After seeing him perform live this past summer, I truly realized how much Graduation Music had slept on Boston artist Garrett Merk. Not only is his genuine style infectious, but his charismatic presence on every track and captivating vocals make for an artist that will surely work his way to the top. Today, Merk is here to let fans know about his mindset and life with a beautifully done single tilted “19” produced by Super Miles.
In my personal listening experience, I first found myself drawn to just how well the rising talent utilizes his uncompromised personality to entertain on this one. Merk is certainly a natural entertainer, and when he details his life with perfectly-innocent lyricism to back this up, he enhances an already-dope sound that not many artists can match. The flows on this track drew me in, as well, as the Boston talent switches things up multiple times while giving air to the looming background vocals and letting them see their shine in a complementary manner.
With that being said, the underlying control on “19” makes for a song that you can’t skip over. I can tell you right now that Graduation Music won’t be sleeping on Garrett Merk in the future, so get ready for more from him on our pages by clicking play below.
