When I think of the name Donald Grunge, I usually think of hard-hitting tracks, lively in nature and never lacking in high-energy deliveries. Yet when listening to his latest offering “SUCIDIENOTEXX”, the opposite end of the spectrum comes into play. Not only are the rising artist’s versatility and talent magnified, but his abilities to portray thoughtful emotion and lyricism are shown, as well.
I can’t say I expected a single of such weight, but I’m thoroughly impressed with the deeply introspective result. Donald Grunge isn’t to be put in any box, and he clearly has the ability to work on his music at a number of different angles. “SUICIDENOTEXX”s ominous production via TheseVibez paints a dim atmosphere with little light available, exploring the depths of Grunge’s deepest issues and doing so with strength and bravery.
